Other reserved matters are to be submitted no later than three years from the date of the approval. The sites are to be served by a single entrance.

The appropriate approvals have been given by the Coal Authority to satisfy the usual geotechnical, environmental and mining report requirements. Mains water is provided to the field, electricity and drainage services are close-by. There is no mains gas in the village.

Oughterside provides a primary school and the nearby village of Prospect has a parish hall, inn and garage. The village is conveniently located for the two neighbouring towns which both cater well for everyday needs with a variety of day-to-day facilities. For those needing to commute Carlisle, Wigton, Cockermouth and west Cumbria are easily accessible. DIRECTIONS From Wigton or Aspatria take the A596 west until you reach the village of Prospect. Proceed to the centre of the village and just after the Miners Arms on the right turn left for Oughterside. Continue down the hill to the crossroads and turn left. The sites are in the field on the right hand side of the road and can be identified by our For Sale board.
